Management
Our management is exercised by a Board of Directors, a collegiate deliberation body responsible for establishing general business policies, including a long-term strategy, and by a Board of Executive Officers, a body with representative and executive functions.

Pursuant to article 15 of our Bylaws, the Board of Directors is composed of five members, of which at least 20% will be independent members, in accordance with terms of the Novo Mercado.

Pedro Grendene Bartelle | Chairman |
He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vulcabras Azaleia S.A. and the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grendene S.A. In 1971, together with his grandfather, Pedro and his brother Alexander founded Grendene S.A. In the late 1990s, after the acquisition of Vulcabras by Grendene, Mr. Pedro became the controlling shareholder of the Company’s and was responsible for the company’s expansion in the sports footwear sector, establishing important commercial partnerships with the main sports brands in the world. It also installed one of the first factories in northeastern Brazil that today is considered the largest producer of sports shoes. It was during his administration that Vulcabras acted as exclusive licensee of Adidas, Keds, Puma, and Le Coq Sportif and Reebok in Brazil. | |

Graduated in Production Engineering from Escola Politécnica of USP in 2010. He began his career in the credit department of BTG Pactual. He has been in the company since 2011, in the financial and new projects areas. He holds the position of 1 Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors (since 2017). | |

He is currently the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (since 2015) and 2nd Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Pedro was Marketing Director of Vulcabras (2007-2016) and was responsible for the implementation of the Company’s subsidiary in Argentina, leading the entire integration process of the company in that country. He has been with the Company since 2001. He was CEO of the Rede de Varejo B&S Comércio de Artigos Esportivos e Representações Ltda. responsible for the administration of 6 stores, directing the supply, marketing and financial areas. | |

Graduated in Advertising at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, Graduated in Marketing at Fundação Getulio Vargas, Certified in Corporate Governance at IBGC. Former CEO of Walmart.com in Brazil and internet pioneer in Latin America in the 1980s, the founder and CEO of RockOn Advisors, a consultancy specializing in e-commerce, digital media, consumer experience and digital ecosystem. Since 2018, he has served as an independent member of the boards of directors of iconic Brazilian companies. Today he is a member of Lojas Marisa, Grupo Ri Happy (Ri Happy and PBKids) and Marilan Alimentos, participating in the digital committees of the three companies. | |

Graduated in Social Communication at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP / SP), with an MBA in Marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM / SP), attended ECR Brasil “Efficient Consumer Response” and Faculdade Getúlio Vargas (FGV EAESP) “Retail Leaders”. He is currently Superintendent Director of the Company. Before, he was in charge of the areas: Commercial and Marketing. He was General Manager of Penalty S.A., responsible for the business operation in Brazil, leading the Marketing, Sales, Controlling, Logistics and Distribution departments; Head of Logistics and National Distribution of the Schincariol Group; Head of the business unit of Trade Marketing and Key Account of the company JBS Friboi; National Manager of Trade Marketing of Arno S.A. (Grupo Seb do Brasil). He was Executive Officer at Cambuci S.A. for 5 years, before starting to work at the Company. He also served as Trainee Key Account of Sales and Trade Marketing of Unilever Foods Brasil. | |||

Graduated in Production Engineering from FEI (Faculty of Industrial Engineering), with a postgraduate degree from LCIBS (London College of International Business Studies) and an MBA in Financial Management from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas). He is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer of Vulcabras S.A. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Under Armor Brasil (subsidiary of the North American brand), responsible for structuring and establishing the company in Brazil, directly leading financial, legal and information technology areas in addition to the regional project to implement the Shared Services Center (located in Panama) and the development of regional policies. He was Financial Controller of GrandVision in Brazil, leading the integration process of Fototica, Glasses and Clocks Factory (recently acquired by GrandVision, at the time). Financial Controller of the Tellerina Group (Etna and Vivara), responsible for treasury, tax, accounting and financial planning. | |||

Graduated in Business Administration. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in the footwear sector in large companies. He is 20 years ahead of Sports Development in the company, and is currently Corporate Director of Product Development and Technology. He also worked in the area of product development of renowned and international brands such as Nike and Strassburger, being the first company to export footwear in Brazil. With extensive experience in R&D in more than 15 countries in developing portfolio strategies, setting goals for the growth of the business in conjunction with managers, executives and senior management. It has several development fronts, as with Italian Michael Marttucci, among others. | |||

Graduated in Advertising and Propaganda from PUC-RS. He is currently the Chief Marketing Officer of Vulcabras Azaleia S.A. He worked in the Company from 2005 to 2010 as general marketing manager. He founded and directed DM9Sul. In 3 years it has made the agency the most awarded of the country outside of São Paulo, winning several international awards, among the most outstanding, 5 Lions in Cannes and 2 Webby Awards, the most important prize of the worldwide internet. In São Paulo he was Vice President of the Loducca agency and Managing Director and General Director of creation of CUBOCC. It has in its curriculum projects for great brands like Natura, Olympikus, Uber, Azaleia, Fiat, Jeep, C&A, Nestlé, Netshoes, among others. In parallel, he was a founding partner of the largest creativity school in Latin America, Perestroika, where he remained until 2011. He was also a member of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and the ABC Group’s Strategic Council. In 2015 he was elected one of the 10 most important communication professionals in the country, by the newspaper Meio & Mensagem. | |||

Currently Director of Supply Chain, Industrial and Human Resources at Vulcabras and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brisa Industria Têxtil, previously he was in charge of Vulcabras’ purchasing area. Advised in Retail, was CEO of Colombo / RS stores, was a member of the Board of Directors of Crediare / RS. He was a Partner at Ernst & Young from 1999 to 2014, having worked at the offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Porto Alegre. He had stints at other companies, working in the tax area, such as: Arthur Andersen, S.S. White Martins, Cobrena CIA. De Reparos Navais, Gulf Fleet Marítima do Brasil LTDA and Corpus Moda e Couro COM and IND. LTDA. He is currently a Partner at Quality Tax Consultoria Tributária, being responsible for projects in the tax area, direct and indirect taxes, tax planning, due diligences, corporate restructuring, etc. He is an MBA professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, member of the American Chamber of Commerce of Rio de Janeiro, member of the British Chamber of Rio de Janeiro.
